Text Box: MARCH, 2010

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.                                                                                                                                                                              1 John 1:7  NIV

Text Box: through Christ who broke into history, took the penalty of our sin, and rose from the grave to bring us NEW LIFE! As we ready ourselves to observe life as Spring approaches and time nears to celebrate the resurrection of Christ Jesus our Savior and Lord, can you rejoice and proclaim that you are alive because HE LIVES? Wouldn’t you like to move from mere existence to real life? You can. Come to Christ, the LIFE GIVER. “The gift of God is eternal LIFE through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).”

 At your service in His,

Bro. Bob

Text Box: A devotional thought that crossed my path recently began with the question, “Are you dead or alive?” It was Monday morning, and I had to ponder that for awhile. Of course, the stress of the devotion was not my physical or mental state on Mondays but the difference between mere existence and real life. This is definitely a valid contrast to consider because so many have only an existence while others are experiencing real life.
Being physically alive and performing normal life functions is not the same as living. Real life is related to one’s spiritual well-being.

The Word of God tells us that in our trespasses and sins we are spiritually dead and separated from God who is the source of life. We are able to move from mere existence to real life through accepting God’s gift of life, His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the LIFE (John 14:6).” On another occasion he taught, “I am come that they might have LIFE and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10).”
